Highlights

You’ll watch the sunrise at Mount Bromo, see the wide sea of clouds, and walk across the sandy desert to the top of an active volcano. The next day, you’ll hike to Mount Ijen and stand by its bright blue crater lake as the sun comes up. Cool air, beautiful colors in the sky, and views that make you stop and say “wow.” It’s a trip that stays in your memory for a long time.


This private tour is great for travelers with limited time, starting at midnight for the Bromo sunrise and continuing the next day to explore Ijen’s stunning crater.

Itinerary

Pick up at Malang or Surabaya

  • Surabaya

    Admission Ticket Free
    You get picked up at your hotel, airport, or train station in Surabaya or Malang around midnight (00:05). Then, you'll drive for 2 hours to a village near Mount Bromo. There, you'll switch to a special Jeep for off-roading.
Mount Bromo to Bondowoso and Mount Ijen

  • Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park

    13 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    Early morning (2:30 AM) jeep ride takes you to see amazing sunrise over Mount Bromo. Enjoy coffee/tea (3:30 AM) before the big view! See sunrise (5 AM) then take photos at Widodaren Hill. Hike up Mount Bromo (45 mins) to reach the top by 6 AM. See the crater, have breakfast, and return by jeep. At 10:00 AM, you'll switch from the jeep to an air-conditioned car and travel to Bondowoso, stopping for lunch along the way. By 2:30 PM, you'll arrive at Bondowoso, and check into Baratha Hotel, and at 6:00 PM, the guide will take you to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Finally, at 7:00 PM, you'll return to your hotel and prepare for an early morning pick-up.

  • Ijen Crater

    10 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    This Ijen tour starts with a midnight drive to Mount Ijen (2 hours). You hike up the mountain with a guide to see the blue flames, sunrise, and beautiful views. After breakfast, you head back to your hotel by 9 AM. You can check out by 10 AM and be driven back to Surabaya/Malang (4 hours) or Ketapang Port (fees apply). The tour ends around 2:30 PM.

If your pick up from Malang or Surabaya and want to drop off at Ketapang Port Banyuwangi after the tour, there will be an extra cost (IDR 250,000)
