The next stop will be at the Azat Reservoir, from where a breathtaking view of the Yeranos Mountains opens. The last stop will be at Garni pagan temple, which is the only preserved pagan temple in Armenia.

It is dedicated to the god Mihr, who was the God of Sun. After the adoption of Christianity, when all the pagan structures were being demolished, King Trdat III's sister Khosrovdukht asked her brother not to destroy the temple. In this way, the pagan temple of Garni reaches the present day. The 24 pillars of the temple symbolize the 24 hours of the day. Unfortunately, due to a devastating earthquake in 1679, Garni Temple was partially destroyed and rebuilt over the next 300 years.Azat Reservoir
