Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the main centers of Greek civilization and a military fortress that dominated much of southern Greece. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion Gate, the Royal Tombs, including that of Clytemnestra of Agamemnon, and the Treasure of Atreus, a magnificent 14th century BC sculpture. In the afternoon (optional stop to buy souvenirs) departure to OLIMPIA, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, passing through the cities of Tripoli and Megalopolis.
