Begin with a pickup from Osaka or Kyoto and head to Shirahige Shrine, Japan’s oldest shrine, where the white floating torii gate rises from Lake Biwa’s waters — a breathtaking photo spot.
Ride Japan’s fastest 360° glass cable car up Mt. Horai to the famed Biwako Terrace for sweeping lake views, or try optional thrills like the Zip Line and Sky Walk.
Alternatively, explore Sanzen-in Temple in Ohara, a serene retreat with moss gardens and seasonal beauty — cherry blossoms, autumn maples, or snow.
Continue to the poetic Mangetsu-ji Floating Hall, one of the “Eight Views of Omi,” its wooden hall seemingly adrift on Lake Biwa.
End the day at La Collina Omihachiman, a whimsical dessert village blending architecture and nature. Savor wagashi, fluffy baumkuchen, and signature dorayaki while enjoying the fairytale setting.

We arrived on a rainy day. Meeting point was chaotic as it was shared with many other tours. Poor communication when the bus moved to a different pick up point. The tour guide was apologetic and generally well mannered. The attractions were great and as expected of a tour bus there was limited time available to spend at each attraction - however it could be better allocated I.e. more time spent at the interesting temples and less time spent at the touristy cake factory. Very little info provided in English.
One of the worst tours I have been on. This tour is catered towards the Chinese. The guide Liu explains in Chinese in detail and when he changes to broken English, it was short and difficult to understand. One of the caucasian participants left the tour midway cos she didnt understand. Take note that there is no lunch break for this tour. The guide should hv informed beforehand.
