Unfortunately, due to the fires in the central mountain massif that we had in the month of August 2024, this walk is closed most of the way. We thought it would re-open a few weeks past the fires but it seems it will take time (maybe not before september 2025) We are making an alternative that will be as follows: Queimadas - Pico das Pedras - Achadas do Teixeira - Pico Ruivo and back to Achadas do Teixeira. This is a shorter version, however you can enjoy the views from the Pico Ruivo, the highest peak area.
