We found an amazing deal on Pelago, easily the best price available for a Great Barrier Reef tour. The trip was operated by Down Under Reef Tours, the biggest operator in the region, and their ship was the largest among all the reef cruises departing from Cairns—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped.
The itinerary included two snorkeling spots, both absolutely stunning, with vibrant coral and plenty of marine life. Since it was jellyfish season, they provided free stinger suits, which was a great touch. Lunch on board was delicious, and to top it off, we enjoyed complimentary wine on the way back—such a relaxing way to end the trip!
The highlight of our adventure was the helicopter ride over the reef. The aerial views were breathtaking, giving us a whole new perspective on the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.
Overall, this experience was 100% worth it. Great service, excellent value, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend!

The highlight was the incredible picture souvenir. Do not pass up the opportunity to pose for the photographer. The pics were phenomenal. The day was well organized. Felt like we got everything we wanted and then a little more.

Everything was well executed. Instructors were friendly and approachable. Only down was the lunch as it was quite poor quality meat and fish. The scenic heli ride choice of seat are random and you must rush for the better ones upon reaching the helipad for better view. the one facing backwards do not have big windows and views. The diving was mediocre as the path they guide you are also viewable/ doable if you snorkel (free). Their photographer will bait a turtle to you to take photos which they charge alot for. Overall pleasant experience but will try other operator next time.
