At the Tokyo Sumo Festival, you can enjoy authentic sumo cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere while experiencing the world of sumo firsthand.
After watching morning sumo training, learning about winning techniques, and seeing live demonstrations, you’ll have the chance to step into the ring and try sumo yourself against a retired sumo wrestler.
Please note: Participation is limited and may be determined by lottery if there are many applicants.
All seats offer a close-up view of the sumo ring. Upgrade to the front row for an even more intense and immersive sumo experience.
After the sumo show, you’ll also get to experience a mikoshi—a traditional portable shrine used in Japanese festivals.

- The sumo show differs from the serious morning training or actual competitive matches. It is structured as a fun and family-friendly performance.
- Souvenirs may vary depending on the season.
- Vegetarian and vegan meals are available upon request.
- Seats for wheelchair users are limited, so please inform us when making your reservation.
- We are unable to provide gluten-free or halal meals, but you are welcome to bring your own food.
