Itinerary

  • 06:00

    The guide and vehicle will pick up the group in central Hue. Begin the journey to the war-torn frontline of Quang Tri – once one of the fiercest battlegrounds during the Vietnam War.

  • 07:30

    Stop at the Citadel – a solemn witness to the 81-day battle in the summer of 1972. The guide will explain its strategic role, the brutal combat, and the immense sacrifice of thousands of soldiers in defending the area.

  • 08:30

    Continue along National Highway 9 – a vital east-west supply route during the war, connecting both sides of the Truong Son (Annamite) mountain range.

  • 10:00

    Stop at Da Krong Bridge – a symbol of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. Learn about its crucial role in transporting weapons and supplies to the southern frontlines.

  • 10:30

    Continue to Khe Sanh to explore Ta Con Airbase – a major US military outpost and the site of the 170-day-long siege in 1968. See original war relics, runways, bunkers, and remaining defense structures.

  • 12:00

    Lunch at a local restaurant

  • 14:00

    Discover a unique 3-level tunnel system nearly 2km long – once home to over 60 families and local soldiers. Witness living quarters, meeting rooms, clinics, kitchens, and more – all built underground.

  • 16:00

    Listen to the story of the 17th parallel – a powerful symbol of division and national reunification. Take photos at the historical site, including the demarcation line, museum, loudspeakers, and more.

  • 17:00

    Enjoy a short photo break at La Vang – a significant Catholic pilgrimage site. Then, the vehicle will drop you off in: • Dong Hoi (city center, train station, or airport)
