This is a walking tour. You don’t get to go into the Buda Castle or the Matthias Cathedral. The guide, Bela, had lots of interesting stories to tell about the tour stops. The Buda Castle has become 3 museums. There was quite a bit of renovation going on which marred the view. After all that walking, we just got to stay 2 minutes to look at the Buda Castle. The guide spent more time telling us about Szentendre and the art pieces by a local artist than about the history of the castle. Another tip: don’t go to the toilet enroute as the guide will not wait for you.
