ーOkinawa Zoo & Museum (Okinawa Kodomo no
Kuni)ー
A themed park combining a zoo and an interactive children's museum, perfect
for a family day trip. The zoo is one of the southernmost in Japan, housing
approximately 150 species, including unique wildlife from the Ryukyu
archipelago, allowing children to get up close and personal with nature and
animals.
The interactive museum on-site focuses on inspiring children's curiosity and
sensibility, featuring various participatory zones and activities. With
workshops, experiential courses, and special exhibitions held periodically,
learning becomes as fun as playing. Bring your children along to explore
'surprises and discoveries' and create laughter-filled travel memories.

- Park Operation Notice -
- The park is closed every Tuesday.
- If Tuesday is a Japanese national holiday, the park will remain open as usual and close the following day.
- The park is closed on the fifth Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each month (excluding January to November; applicable months are subject to park regulations, and it is recommended to check the official announcement before departure).
- Business hours may vary depending on the season, and some facilities/activities/event venues may be temporarily closed. Please refer to official announcements and on-site instructions for the most up-to-date information.
- Regarding the year-end and New Year's Day closure, the park will suspend general operations for three days each year on December 30th, December 31st, and January 1st.

- The park will be temporarily closed when Okinawa Island enters the typhoon's path. Furthermore, even after the storm warning is lifted, the park's reopening may depend on the extent of damage; if facilities are damaged, it may remain closed to the public.
