Must Know
Tickets are valid for unlimited travel for 1, 2 or 3 calendar days. A day begins at 00:00 and ends at 00:00. The ticket is valid on all GVB trams, buses, metros and ferries.
Usage
Please note that your smartphone voucher is not the actual ticket. Pick up your ticket (called an OV-chipkaart) by scanning the barcode on your voucher at one of the designated GVB ticket machines or desks
Exchange your smartphone ticket for an OV-chipkaart at stations including Amsterdam Central, Schiphol Airport, Bijlmer Arena, Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Noord, or Amsterdam Zuid
Make sure to use the card to check in at the start of your journey, and to check out at the end of every trip
You need to check in and out with each operator, i.e. if you change to bus, tram or metro. You must also check out at an NS card reader before checking in with another operator
Post Purchase
The ticket is also valid on the Amsterdam Airport Express (bus 397 and Niteliner N97). Both are operated by Connexxion. Redemption was easy and fuss free. Email was promptly send after purchase, and we could easily redeem from the train station with the email received. Very valuable buy as we could travel on most transportation mode in Amsterdam - trains, metro and local trams
Easy to use and good value. If you're redeeming this at Amsterdam Central, it has to be done in the ticket office just outside of the building itself. Definitely will buy again when in Amsterdam.
Need to exchange into physical card at the GVB building (white building on the left) outside Amsterdam Centraal Station. Super convenient if visiting Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans and waterlands
