    Next, you’ll walk to the holiest shrines of Sikhs, the Golden Temple. This 400-year-old gurudwara was originally founded by the fourth guru, Ram Das, and later on gold plated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh which eventually gave this place the name ‘golden’.

    After the gurudwara, you’ll visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum to learn about the Sikh Empire. The Maharaja successfully built a united Sikh empire and fought Muslim invaders during his rule.
