Our journey continues to Paseo Xolotlán, where you’ll marvel at a model of 75 buildings from historic Roosevelt Avenue, many of which were destroyed by the 1972 earthquake.
We'll then head to the Masaya Volcano National Park, covering 54 km² and featuring two volcanoes and five craters. A paved road leads us to the edge of the active Santiago crater, one of the few places where you can safely observe a crater up close.
