Sierra Bermeja is one of the most interesting and exclusive petrographic areas (rocks of volcanic origin) on the Iberian Peninsula. In Sierra Bermeja there are important endemic forests of the Serranía de Ronda (Malaga and Cádiz), the pinsapares, being in this massif the only place where they grow on peridotites.
