Njp/ixb to gangtok. (125 kms, 4-5 hrs approx)

    On arrival at njp railway station / ixb airport our representative will welcome you and transfer you to gangtok. Gangtok is a city , municipality, the capital and the largest town of the indian state of sikkim. It also is the headquarters of the east sikkim district. Gangtok is in the eastern himilayan range, at an elevation of (5410 ft). The town's population of 100,000 are from different ethnicities such as bhutia, lepchas and indian gorkhas. Within the higher peaks of the himilaya and with a year-round mild temperature climate, gangtok is at the centre of sikkim's tourism industry. Check-in to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in gangtok. (altitude 1,650 m)

    This morning start for a half day trip to tsomgo lake (12400ft), which is only 32kms from gangtok city. Leave from the hotel around 8-10 am basis availability of permit, the same will be communicated by the driver. The lake is almost about 1km long and 15 meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people.

Darjeeling , known as the "queen of the hills" , is located in the Himalayas and offers an unforgettable view of the snow-capped mountains. The tea gardens, tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track add to the charm of this hill station.
