Embark on a two-day adventure on K'gari (Fraser Island) with our curated tour,
guided by local experts. Relax in the air-conditioned 4WD coach as you explore
the island's iconic attractions, including Lake McKenzie, 75 Mile Beach, Eli
Creek, and the Maheno shipwreck.


Exclusive to multi-day tours, indulge in the Champagne Pools and hike across
an ancient sand blow to discover the emerald green oasis of Lake Wabby.

－Accommodation Information－


  • Room type:recently renovated standard hotel rooms, all rooms have 1 x Queen Bed and 1 x Single Bed,

  • Room facility: tea & coffee making facilities, ceiling fans, flat screen TV, bathroom and patio/balcony. (The amenities are subject to change due to the resort's availability)


  • Please note, the standard hotel room comes with ceiling fans only. If you would like an air-conditioned room, please request an upgrade at time of check-in


  • The resort offers many facilities for guest use, but the best place to unwind at the end of a tour day is at McKenzie’s on 75 Bar & Restaurant to delight in an evening at leisure and select a meal from the new à la cart

Itinerary

  • Depart River Heads to K’gari

  • Arrive at Fraser island (K'gari), let the adventure begin!

  • Visit Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora), K'gari's most iconic, picture-perfect swimming spot!

  • Central Station, once a bustling logging station supporting the timber industry. Stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to encounter ancient King Ferns, majestic Flooded Gums, and towering Pine trees!

  • Pile Valley, Wander through the subtropical rainforest and marvel at the centuries-old Satinay trees and towering palms.

  • 75 Mile Beach, travel along this golden beach highway, you may spot dingoes, birds of prey flying above, or humpback whales and spot the seasonal migrating activity

  • Eli Creek, float gently down this tranquil, tree-lined creek toward Pacific Ocean

  • Head back to K'gari resort and enjoy the rest of your night at the resort

  • Maheno Shipwreck , marvel at the rustic wreck of the Maheno, which washed ashore during an outof-season cyclone in 1935.

  • The Pinnacles Coloured Sands , learn about these radiant, cliff-like sand formations and the Indigenous Dreamtime stories that surround them.

  • Indian Head, cruise past the most easterly point of the island, which is home to marine life such as turtles and rays, often spotted in the waters around the base of this rocky headland.

  • Champagne Pools, take a dip in this amazing natural jacuzzi, as waves crash over the volcanic rock into beautiful bubbling pools.

  • Lake Wabby, trek across the desert-like Hammerstone Sandblow and be rewarded with a panorama of ocean, lake and forest surrounds

  • Take ferry back to Hervey Bay

Purchase Notice
  • Please note Infants under the age of 1 year are unable to travel on tours
  • Infants 1-3 years are free of charge, sharing with adults and using existing bedding, no meals included
  • All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult
  • Please message KKday customer service for any dietary requirements at the time of booking. If notified later than 48 hours before the tour, the operator may refuse the request
  • Please note the exact meeting/ check-in time and location will be advised with booking confirmation
  • Please provide a reachable contact number when booking so the tour guide can provide departure notices and contact you on the tour day/in advance

  • Each guest may check-in free of charge, 2 items of luggage, limited to no more than 25kg per piece
  • Additional items to be checking-in will incur a handling fee of AUD 10 per piece.

Please arrive at the designated location 20 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time
Please arrive on time, as the tour operator cannot accommodate delays from flights or late passengers, and no refunds are eligible
Itinerary and timings are subject to change due to weather, track and tide conditions
If there is insufficient time for all attractions on the itinerary, the tour guide will cut down time at other attractions
Refunds will not be granted to travellers who do not wish to see all the attractions on the itinerary
Inclusions that are not utilised are non-refundable and non-transferable
Guests who refuse to reduce their luggage weight or pay excess luggage charges will be required to carry their own luggage at all transport points on and off boats, along jetty and to and from accommodation locations
K’gari Explorer Tours reserves the right to alternate passenger transfer services within the marine fleet
Schedule of services may alter subject to the operational structure changes, K’gari Explorer Tours reserves the right to offer alternate land transfer service options
