One of the world`s highest mountain Makalu 8445 meters 27838 fts located in the Mahalangur Himalayas just 19 km southwest of mount Everest on the Nepal, China & Tibet border. On May 1995 the Mount Makalu Expedition was first time climbed by lionel Terray and Jean couzy of a French expedition lead by jean franco. Makalu is highly vertical slopes & sharp-edged ridge required prominent knowledge of using climbing gears.
Mount Makalu Expedition would be an ideal adventure for those with the time and desire to experience impressing natural beauty, life style of different ethnic groups, culture diversity of peoples, cye-catching snow clad mountains, gorgeous landscapes from mountain to glacial terrain and rich variety of flora & fauna. 01:Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel 02-03:preparation for Makalu Expeditions 04:Fly to Tumlingtar 448m - 45 mins flight with overnight stop 05:Drive to Num 1,490m - 04 hrs with afternoon free to explore 06:Trek to Seduwa 1,540m- 05 hrs 07:Trek to Tashi Gaon 2,135m - 04 hours 08:Trek to Kongma Danda (Ridge) 3,556 m - 05 hours 09:Trek to Mumbuk 3,553m - 06 hours 10:Trek to Nghe (Nehe Kharka) 3,760 m - 05 hours 11:Trek to Shersong 4,572m - 05 hours 12:Trek to Makalu Base Camp 4,812 m - 03 hrs 13-14:At Makalu Base Camp preparation and acclimatization for the climb 15:Climb to High Camp / ABC (Advance Base Camp) 5,800 m - 04 hrs 16:At Advance Camp rest and preparation for the climb of Makalu 17-37:ascent on top Makalu summit 38-39:Back to Base Camp all team members and staff 40:Clean up and packing end of expeditions 41:Trek to Yangle Kharka 3, 598m - 06 hours 42:Trek to Mumbuk - 05 hours 43:Trek to Kongma Ridge - 05 hours 42:Trek to Narbu Gaon 1,310m via Tashi Gaon - 05 hours 45:Trek to Num via Seduwa - 05 hours 46:Drive back to Tumlingtar - 04 hrs 47:Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels 48:submit expeditions report to concern department 49:Departure Day
