Highlights

We are waiting for individual travelers to join this wonderful tour to explore hidden parts of Turkey. This is the only short itinerary that runs between Izmir and Antalya visiting the major sites such as Pamukkale and Aphrodisias. The small group and local connections is going to be delightful for the discoveries as we go along.

Itinerary

Welcome to Izmir and the start of the tour

  • Izmir

    5 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    Meet you guide at the Izmir Airport/or Downtown Izmir (location will be decided upon arrival depending on the guest). After orientation, free time for lunch at downtown before we head towards our hotel, located at Sirince Village. Dinner together at a local restaurant at the village.

Ephesus and Attractions

  • Ancient City of Ephesus

    Take a morning trip to the ruins of Ancient city of Ephesus, the great city & home to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

  • Ayasoluk Castle

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    This is the location of the Cathedral for the tomb of St. John.

  • Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)

    Visit the House of Virgin Mary, where it is believed she spent the last days of her life.

Pamukkale

  • Pamukkale Thermal Pools

    This morning we will be driving to Pamukkale. On the way lunch on your own at the town of Nazili where it is known for its Turkish style pizzas that are called pide. Afternoon will be at the ancient site of Hieropolis also known as Pamukkale. This is a quite a large area to cover and you will also get enough time on your own to swim in the ancient hot springs (extra admission, changing cabins available).

Aphrodisias, City of the Goddess of Beauty

  • Aphrodisias

    This morning we will be driving to Aphrodisias for 1 hour. All morning will be visiting the ancient site. Later a stop for local lunch on your own and the afternoon will be a 3 hour drive to Antalya where we will sleep 2 nights at the old town.

Antalya, Perge, Archaeology Museum

    Old town discovery for 1 hour.

  • Perge Ancient City

    30 min. drive to the Roman Site of Perge. One of the largest excavations still carried in Antalya is open for visit.

  • Antalya Muzesi

    Archaeology Museum will be our final stop. A great collection of Roman sculptural works waits for our attention.
