Gary was amazing! Even with just a small group of 7 ppl, he never failed to entertain us with his knowledge about the city, Phillip Island, Penguin parade, Cowes and Moonlit Sanctuary. He was really patient as well. Thank you Gary!
Tour was very relaxing, our guide Jose was very friendly and accommodating. Love the moonlight sanctuary especially the koala keeper talk.
I really enjoyed this day, I booked the koala experience at Moonlit before (it was around 30 Aussie dollars) through Moonlit sanctuary's website and I would completely recommend doing that for the full experience (it sells out in peak times!), also you could hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies for 3 Aussie dollars bought from the box office and that was a really cool and unique experience. Lots to see at Moonlit and we were there for about 2 hours (11am - 13:15), we then went on to a beach viewing point, a little beach town and then the area around penguin parade. The penguin parade itself was a cool thing to see but I think overly touristy, they do not allow you to take pictures and videos "in case it flashes and harms the penguins" which felt a little like being treated as a child who can't be trusted, and then people did it anyway! (This wasn't the tour guides fault, more the people who run the parade). We left the parade after about 2 hours at 7:45 and got back to melbourne for about 9:45. Would completely recommend!
