Highlights

This tour is 100% authentic and tells the real story of Samhain from a local perspective. During the tour with your Seán na gealaí guide, you will explore local stories and places behind the bean sí and the púca.

Itinerary

  • Leap Community Garden

Discover how Samhain became the Halloween festival we know and love on this walking tour. With a Seán na Gealaí for a guide, you will meet the bean sí and talk with the púca (among others) along the way. Starting at Leap Community Garden, we stroll up through Ireland's most poetically named woodland, Bláth na Gréine. At each stop you will learn about the local beliefs, traditions and customs around Samhain and Halloween. We finish at Myross Wood House where we have hot chocolate & báirín breac.
