The trip was on time, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The waves were quite high that day, so unfortunately we couldn’t swim into deeper waters to see the fish and coral. Although it was a brief 1.5-hour stay, it was enough to enjoy the boat ride and the complimentary drinks. The only thing we felt could be improved was the queue at Denarau Port. The waiting area is quite limited, and having to queue with not much space to wait can feel a little irritating, especially when it gets crowded. Overall, though, it was still an enjoyable experience.

While we ultimately enjoyed our time and appreciated the wonderful staff, the overall experience fell short of what was advertised due to severe pre-trip logistics issues and misleading tour marketing. Booking & Logistics (1/5): The booking process was frustrating from the start due to system glitches. The tour operator made no initial effort to reach out to us. When I finally initiated contact, nothing was resolved until just a couple of days before our trip. Worse, they failed to honor both the pickup and drop-off transfers—the former due to time restrictions and the latter entirely—forcing us to arrange our own transportation. Boarding & Facilities (4/5): Check-in at the counter was seamless, clear, and efficient. The boat was comfortable, well-ventilated, and didn't feel overly hot despite the sun. Even though the boat was packed, only about 20 passengers disembarked at South Sea Island, which made the island experience feel exclusive rather than crowded. The Island & Activities (2/5): The island itself is small and packed with potential activities, but the tour title is a massive oversell. Calling it a "Finding Nemo" tour implies rich marine life, but the area near the shore is essentially a graveyard for corals. Combined with strong waves, snorkeling was underwhelming. Most importantly, the timing is far too rushed—you only get about two hours on the island to fit everything in. We ended up just relaxing on the beach. Food & Drinks (3/5): The bar offers both free and paid drink options. While you can certainly enjoy unlimited drinks on the complimentary tier, the staff keep a watchful eye to ensure things stay under control. Since we selected the non-dining option, our time was cut short; we departed the island at 11:15 AM and returned to the marina around noon. Final Verdict: The staff on the boat and island were genuinely kind, attentive, and helpful from start to finish. However, between the stressful booking process, canceled transfers, and a misleading tour title that delivers very little "Nemo," it’s hard to fully recommend unless you just want a quick, pleasant boat ride with drinks by the beach.
