The Palace was built in the 14th century A.D., destroyed in 1856 and rebuilt in 1939 by the Italians in order to accommodate the King of Italy, Emmanuel II and Mussolini. At the end of the street, you will see the outside of the Knight's Hospital which is now an impressive Archaeological Museum. The hospital was built in 1440 A.D., and is the most spec- tacular and well- preserved building in the Old City. You will then be given some free time to explore on your own, find an ice cream or visit the archeological mu- seum on your own.
