Lucknow Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt
Start anytime, pause whenever, go at your own pace
Chỉ dành cho thành viên KrisFlyer
Highlights
Lucknow was once the most cultured city in northern India — and the Nawabs' monuments still make that claim very hard to argue with.
This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through Lucknow on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.
• Seek out the Lakhi Gate, the Tomb of Saadat Ali Khan, and the Shaheed Smarak — Mughal gateways, Nawabi mausoleums, and a memorial to independence
• Move through Lucknow at your own pace, guided by clues rather than crowds
• Suits history fans, cultural travellers, families, and curious visitors
Available in 24 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian — see the full list when booking and choose yours when you start the game in the app.
Around 2 hours - any group size.
Lucknow's address to its past is as elegant as its kebabs.
Itinerary
Maharaja Mahmudabad
Starting at Maharaja Mahmudabad, Kaiserbagh Officer's Colony, Kaiser Bagh, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh 226018, India, open the Explorial app and enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message. You're in the Kaiserbagh, the royal quarter that the Nawabs of Awadh built as a city within the city. The first clue leads to the Lakhi Gate, one of the principal entrances to the Kaiserbagh palace complex, whose ornate arched gateway was built in the 19th century as a symbol of Nawabi power and refinement at the height of Awadh's golden age. From there the app takes you to the Tomb of Saadat Ali Khan, the mausoleum of the Nawab who signed the treaty with the British East India Company in 1801 — a graceful domed structure in a garden that still conveys the ceremonial dignity of a court that valued beauty above almost everything. The route concludes at the Shaheed Smarak, a memorial to the martyrs of India's independence movement, standing as a counterpoint to the Nawabi monuments and a reminder of the century of change that followed them. Around 2 hours on foot. Walk slowly — the city rewards close attention.
