If you could only visit the Great Wall of China once in your life, which section would you choose?The Jinshanling Great Wall is the most spectacular section of the entire Great Wall of China, bar none. I'm sure the National Geographic Channel must feel the same, as they chose the Jinshanling for their Great Wall film. The Jinshanling Great Wall is about 2.5 hours drive from Beijing, the distance makes it the least crowded section of the wall, even in high season. Compared with other sections of the Great Wall, it has the best views, the longest walking route (7 miles), the largest number of watchtowers (67 towers, the Mutainyu section has only 20 towers 3 miles) and most importantly, you can explore both restored and unrestored Great Wall here. This is something you cannot find in any other section of the wall. I have explored many sections of the Great Wall around Beijing countless times. Jinshanling is the best, I am sure you will leave with a lifetime of memories.
