Highlights

Beyond the Vines is a full-day Marlborough wine tour from Picton or Blenheim with The Original Marlborough Wine Tours.


You visit five handpicked wineries over about 6 hours, with standard tasting fees included at every cellar door. Groups are small, up to 10 guests and occasionally 11.


Taste Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, plus Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Noir and some lesser-known varieties. The wineries change daily, from family-run and boutique cellar doors to larger names. Lunch is at one of them, usually Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen or Allan Scott Bistro, at your own cost.


Your guide drives, so nobody in your group has to. Our guides include a winemaker and a guide with 35 years in wine and hospitality. We are not pretentious, so it suits wine lovers and newcomers alike.


Door-to-door pickup from central Picton (9.15am to 9.30am) or central Blenheim (9.45am to 10.05am).

    Our lunch stop on this tour is usually at Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen. Enjoy a relaxed wine tasting in the vines and beautifully presented food.

    Pickup points: central Blenheim accommodation or the Blenheim i-SITE (9.45am to 10.05am).

  • Marlborough Region(Đi ngang qua)

    Admission Ticket Free
    Marlborough Vineyards: Guided tastings at five cellar doors, with standard tasting fees included. The wineries change daily, from family-run and boutique cellar doors to some of the region's larger names. Expect Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir.

  • Saint Clair Family Estate Vineyard Kitchen

    1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    The usual lunch stop, or Allan Scott Bistro on some days. One of the five wineries. Tasting fees are included. Lunch is at your own cost.

  • Waikawa(Đi ngang qua)

    Admission Ticket Free
    Drop-off: back at your pickup point. Tastings finish at about 4.15pm to 4.30pm. Picton drop-off is at about 5.15pm to 5.30pm.

Choose the correct pickup town and time when you book: Picton 9.15am to 9.30am, or Blenheim 9.45am to 10.05am.
Not suitable for cruise ship passengers, as the timings will not suit your ship. Book our shore excursion instead.
Suitable for guests with limited mobility. Not wheelchair accessible.
The wineries change daily. Tell us any requests when you book. Requests cannot be guaranteed on cruise ship days or in the busy summer season.
Cloudy Bay limits group visits, so this tour does not visit Cloudy Bay in peak season. Our Spring Sip, Savour and Stroll tour visits Cloudy Bay.
Lunch is at your own cost at one of the cellar doors.
There is no dress code. Wear tidy, comfortable clothes for the weather and sensible shoes, as you may walk through a vineyard.
