Your private group surf lesson begins at our surf shop in Playa Grande, where you’ll meet your local surf instructor and get set up with the right surfboards and rash guards. Before entering the water, your instructor will give your group a safety briefing and introduce the fundamentals of surfing, including board positioning, paddling, how to catch a wave, and how to stand up safely. Then it’s time to hit the water! Beginners will start in the whitewater, where they can practice catching waves and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Your instructor will stay with your group throughout the session, providing personalized guidance, helping with wave selection, and offering tips to improve with every attempt. The lesson is adapted to the experience and ability of your group, making it ideal for couples, families, friends, and small groups who want to learn and enjoy surfing together. This is a private experience exclusively for your group — you will not be combined with other travelers.
