Highlights

Drive 50 minutes from Reykjavik to Silfra, one of the top 10 snorkeling spots in the world. Found in Thingvellir National Park, this fissure lies between two tectonic plates that drift apart annually 2–3 cm (1 inch).


Silfra's glacier water is filtered through lava fields over decades, providing unmatched purity. Visibility can reach over 100 meters (300 feet), revealing rock formations and freshwater algae.


The water temperature stays between 2–4°C (35°F) throughout the year. High-quality drysuits keep you warm as you float through this unique environment.
