Great experience getting up close with humpbacks, sperm whales, as well as lots of dusky dolphins and large sea birds. Be sure to arm yourself against sea sickness because it gets quite choppy. Seeing whales with the mountains as backdrop is well worth it.
We manage to see a few whales, and the lunch provided was good and nice.
Awesome day because of good weather. Mini bus was comfortable with good leg room. Captain and crew was skilful and boat successfully "chased" dolphins and whales. Happy to stop by to see a "seal colony" otw back to Christchurch.
