This hiking tour will take us to Grænihryggur - Green Ridge - amazing place close to Landmannalaugar area. The 16 km hike (10 miles) will lead us through some of the most beatiful scenery in the highland of Iceland. Travellers will be picked up at their accommodation in the Reykjavik area. We have around 3 hours drive to the start of the hike and on the way we will stop for toilets if needed. On the hike we will make numerous stops for photos and as well to enjoy this increadable landscape. Just before we arrive to the Green Ridge we have to wade across one glacial river so bring wade shoes and extra socks. After we have enjoyed the Green Ridge we will head back to the car, make a short drive to Landmannalaugar. There we will soak in the natural hot spring pool before we start our 3 hour drive back to Reykjavik.
