Highlights
Experience all parts of Japan’s rich tea culture on this Shizuoka tour. This area is famous for making over 40% of Japan’s total tea and has been doing so for hundreds of years. Visit a local farm where you can meet the farmers who have been growing tea leaves for generations. Pick your own leaves as you take in the beautiful scenery in and around the fields then sample some special teas grown in the area. Take the next step on your tea journey by learning how the leaves you just picked are processed at a local factory. Japanese tea transcends just a beverage and has become a way of life for many people around the country. Become a part of this culture with this informational experience.

Guided tea farm tour with tea leaf picking

You may be asked to wear a mask when meeting the farmers, in the car or the factory.
Good To Know
Due to the seasonal nature of tea farming, the factory is not always operational, but your guide will make tea with a tea roaster for you!
Please refrain from visiting if you have a fever or feel unwell.
