Highlights
Take this small group tour Max 10 pax. Snaking along the ridge of the mountains from Simatai West to Jinshanling. It takes you through crumbling, ancient watch towers along the way. It is extremely photogenic! The 15 fascinating variety watch-towers(Some are with two or three stories, and some are with only flat roofs), and steep gradients that give constantly changing perspectives and wide, open views. This section of the wall is wild, ruined, preserved and original. On a clear day, you can take great photos here. If you like a challenging hiking tour, don't miss this one out! (total hiking time is around 3 to 4 hours).
Itinerary
Jinshanling Great Wall
4 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedIn the morning, your hiking tour guide and driver will come to meet you at your hotel lobby around 7:00am-7:30am. Then, you will be transferred to drive to the Great Wall (about 2 hours without traffic jam, and closer to 2.5-3 if runs into a jam). You will first arrive Great Wall at Simatai West (the east gate entrance of the Jinshanling Great Wall). Simatai Great Wall is located along the ridges, and it takes about 30 minutes to go up there. You will see an amazing view from one of the highest points on the way. After 3 to 4 hours hiking, we will walk down some local restaurant to enjoy some tasty lunch with local flavor. The end of tour, you will meet our driver in the parking lot, do some final post-hike stretches, and jump in the car for a nap or reflections on the day’s hike at the Great Wall. Depending on traffic heading into the city, and the distance from the expressway to your hotel, the drive home may range from 2-3 hours.Simatai Great Wall
