As we head east towards the Heraklion region, enjoy the scenic drive through olive groves, mountain passes, and glimpses of the sparkling Cretan coastline.

    10:15 – Dive into the Deep – CRETAquarium (approx. 1h 15m). Step into one of the largest and most modern aquariums in Europe, dedicated to the marine life of the Mediterranean. Here you can see: Sharks, rays, and moray eels gliding just inches away. Colorful reef fish, jellyfish, octopuses, and seahorses. The famous “shark tunnel” – a must for kids and adults alike. Interactive panels, educational displays, and stroller-friendly walkways make this visit enjoyable for all ages. The climate-controlled halls ensure comfort even on the hottest days.

  • Dinosauria Park

    11:45 – Back to Prehistoric Times – Dinosauria Park (approx. 1h 30m). Just minutes away from the aquarium lies a completely different world – millions of years back in time, when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Highlights include: Dozens of life-size dinosaur models you can walk among. Animatronic creatures that move and roar, creating a realistic experience. The interactive “Dino Hospital” where visitors learn how these giants are “treated.” A fossil excavation area where kids can dig for “prehistoric treasures.” Optional extras like 5D cinema, VR experiences, and a planetarium (additional cost). The park offers both sunny and shaded areas, with a café and rest stops for families.

  • Heraklion

    13:35 – The Charm of Crete’s Capital – Heraklion Free Time (approx. 2h). After an exciting morning, it’s time to slow the pace and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Crete’s largest city. During your free time you can: Stroll along 25th August Street down to the Venetian harbor. Enjoy coffee or ice cream by the Morosini Fountain (Lion Square). Take photos of the Koules Venetian Fortress from the outside. Shop for souvenirs or taste local delicacies in nearby cafés and tavernas. The choice is yours – relax, explore, or simply soak up the city’s lively vibe.

  • Chania Prefecture

    2 hoursAdmission Ticket Free
    15:35 – Return to Chania. After your Heraklion experience, your driver will take you back west. Enjoy the changing landscapes as we cross the island. Arrival in Chania is expected between 17:45 and 18:15, depending on traffic and your exact drop-off point.
