It is situated south-west from the city of Kathmandu (one hour drive) at an elevation of 2551 m / 8370 ft). Opened in 2016, the 2.4 km ‘Cable Car’ ride takes you on a 10 minute thrilling trip to the Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple at the top of the hill. The tour is considered to be the ideal destination for a day’s escape in the outskirts of the crowded capital. The viewpoint in the hill here offers you a beautiful panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley. Here you will also be experiencing the mesmerizing view of of the surrounding mountains including Mt. Everest, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu and Langtang range. Additionally, you may also experience the snow fall in the temple premises if visited during mid winter.Swayambhunath Temple
