After collecting you bright and early from your hotel, you will leave the city behind and drive into the endless fields of sand dunes. The first stop will be to visit the nomad villages, which are usually moved from one place to another in the Erg Chebbi dunes. While you drink some tea with them, they will explain their traditions and way of life. The first stop of the excursion is Khamlia, a small village on the edge of the desert, where the Gnawa ethnic group live. The Gnawa are originally from Central Africa, descents from the African slaves brought to Morocco. After visiting the village, discover why Gnawa music is internationally recognized by assisting a wonderful performance. The soulful tunes blend classical Islamic music and African beats! Our last stop it will be in Dépôt Nomad is a nomadic Shop where the Nomad's leave their products (made hand)to sell this helps them to have a little money to live their nomadic life. Finally, you will head back to your hotel in Merzouga.
