Terrible service. Will never choose this service again. I booked the ride and requested pick up at 1:00pm (flight arrived 12:45pm), and I do not have checked-in luggage. Around 1:15pm , i went to the pick up point, and saw nobody there. There was no local number I could call. Thus, I was a bit panic not knowing that if the driver would come or not. Around 1:30pm, driver texted me and saying that he was on the way, and would be arriving soon, however, it was already 30 mins late. I was already feeling very frustrated as I was travelling with my boss and I was the one arranged the ride and we had a meeting that we need to attend at hotel later. after waiting for another 5 mins, I called the driver, and he said he was stuck in traffic, will take more time. Finally, the driver came at 2:00pm, which was already one hour late from the scheduled time. Then the driver chose not to use highway, and said that heavy traffic on highway, and taking the local road would just about 10-15 mins delay (I checked GPS on my phone, which indicate faster route is using highway); totally unacceptable , the driver already one hour late, but he chose local road to avoid paying toll (which already included in the fare i paid). Furthermore, I found that the car is already critically low on fuel, it will put us in risk of further delay if the car couldn't operate if fuel ran out. The fare that i was paying was about 2-3 times higher than getting a Grab from airport, the service provided was indeed terrible which wasting my time and money. The driver should have been there at the scheduled time, even he would be late for some reason , should have informed me before or at the scheduled time. I hope Pelago would provide some good explanation and hopefully a compensation.
The airport transfer between Manila airport to BCG was clean and it was a comfortable ride. We were greeted by the driver, who helped us with the loading of our luggage. An minor improvement, would be to inform me that the driver is not waiting inside the passenger arrival terminal, which is different from indicated in the instructions. A couple of Whatsapp messages to the provider's CSO clarified the situation, but took us 20-30 mins longer.
Do not recommend, the contact person uses a non Philippines number. What I realised is that they were using grab to book the car for me which I can do as well. My intention to use this pickup is to avoid the delay and long wait time from grab which I could have booked on my own. Driver and I was confused because the grab booking name wasn’t even stating my name.
