I had a lovely morning weaving. My teacher was wonderful and very patient. Lunch was excellent too. It’s interesting to see the silk worms and have a go at spinning the silk. You get a choice of what to weave and the colours. If you’re not into quet reflective activities, choose the table mat! You do get shown round the silver shop, carpet shop etc but these are quite interesting and I didn’t get too much hard sell. If you want to avoid this altogether, check out the weaving offered by Thai Tribal Crafts Fair Trade. Enjoyable morning, back at hotel in Chiang Mai by 2pm ish.
