Highlights
The beautiful Uyuni salt flats are the world’s largest salt flat. It is located in the Department of Potosi in Southwest Bolivia at 3.650 meters above sea level.
La Isla del Pescado (Fish Island), which is located on the salt flat, is full of giant cactuses and named this way as the ´island´ has the shape of a fish. It is the only sign of life for miles.
Laguna Verde, Laguna Colorada and the hot springs can also be visited during this tour. Laguna Verde is a beautiful green colored lake close to the Chilean border at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. Its color is caused by sediments, containing copper minerals. Laguna Colorada is a red colored lake, also because of the presence of minerals. The lagoons together with the flamingos create a very unique scene of spectacular beauty!

11 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeFollowing a 9-hour bus ride, you will be transferred to the offices where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast before beginning your tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats. The first stopping point is the "train cemetery", where you will be able to see old and time-worn trains. You will then continue your tour to the "Salar de Uyuni" by Colchani, where you can observe the manual processing of edible salt. Following this, your tour continues to visit the salt mounds and the center of the Salar, where you will visit the Isla Incahuasi, a natural formation of volcanic rock and giant cacti. Your tour continues with visiting the shores of the salt desert, to enjoy the sunset accompanied by a special toast with Bolivian wine. 18 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeOn your fourth day you can get up early to go in search of the geysers known as "Morning Sun". This will allow you to get to see the first rays of sunlight in this picturesque area where volcanoes seem active and emit fumaroles and volcanic activity in small quantities. Continuing with your trip, you will travel over the highest point of the road at approximately 5,000 meters above sea level. Your trip then continues with a visit to Laguna Colorada before continuing to the "stone tree" and along the high plateau road to reach the hot springs of Polques. There you can take a hot bath and then cross the desert of Dali to reach the green lagoon located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Your tour then returns to Uyuni, where on the way you can observe Andean plants and animals of the area before you arrive to Uyuni at 5:00PM.
