Have your camera ready to capture the intense colors and commotion at the riverbank temples and ghats See crowds of locals arrive on the steps and offer prayers and flowers to the river — held sacred by all followers of the Hindu religion. Watch the pilgrims bathing in the holy waters, giving thanks for their lives. Around halfway through your cruise, pull up at a ghat and go ashore to explore.
