[Takachiho Gorge & Mount Aso Kusasenri Classic Day Tour]


Enjoy a full-day trip to two of Kyushu’s most spectacular natural attractions:
Takachiho Gorge and Mount Aso Kusasenri. Walk along the Takachiho Gorge trail
and admire highlights such as Manai Falls, the Three Bridges, and the stunning
river valley scenery. Guests may also choose to add a popular rowing boat
experience at Takachiho Gorge to get up close to Manai Falls and the dramatic
canyon views, as well as an optional lunch featuring premium Takachiho beef.


Afterwards, continue to Aso Kusasenri to enjoy the vast grasslands and
volcanic landscapes, offering a relaxing way to experience one of Kyushu’s
most iconic natural sights.


  • Please note: As the Aso crater area is currently closed (reopening date undecided), the itinerary will focus on Kusasenri and surrounding areas, with stop durations adjusted depending on weather and road conditions.


  • For meal-included plans, the restaurant providing lunch will also offer shuttle service back from Takachiho Gorge. Please note that lunch reservations cannot be made on the day of travel.

This is a fixed route shared by passengers. You will need to share a ride with other passengers throughout the trip. The vehicle will not stop at locations not included in the itinerary
No refunds will be given for any absences or cancellations due to personal issues, lateness, or other reasons
Depending on the number of participants on the day, service may be provided by a driver-guide or a separate driver and guide team. The vehicle type and group arrangement (small group or coach bus) will be adjusted flexibly according to actual conditions
The tour will be conducted mainly in Mandarin or English, with basic multilingual assistance available depending on the situation
Reference vehicle models will be arranged according to the number of participants, including Toyota Alphard, HIACE, minibuses, and large coaches. The actual vehicle used will depend on the arrangements of the day
Actual itineraries may be adjusted due to weather, traffic, or other force majeure factors. This may include changes to sightseeing duration, order of visits, or cancellation of certain attractions. The driver-guide will make adjustments based on real-time conditions. Please reserve sufficient time in advance and be prepared for possible changes. No refunds or additional compensation will be provided
The duration of each stop has been pre-arranged. Please follow the guide’s time management. During peak seasons, the itinerary sequence may be adjusted due to the traffic
To maintain a clean and comfortable vehicle, please avoid consuming strongly odorous food onboard. In case of any damage or stains, a cleaning fee may be charged according to local standards
If you leave the group midway, it will be considered as a waiver of subsequent services. No refund will be given for the unused portion, and you will be responsible for your own safety during the period.
Whether or not entry to the crater is permitted depends on real-time official information. When Mt. Aso prohibits entry, the tour will visit Kusasenri for 90 minute (actual duration subject to on-site arrangement). Currently Mt. Aso is still closed and the open time is not yet announce, so the tour will visit Kusasenri and the surrounding areas. The stay time is subject to traffic and weather on the day
