  After breakfast, you will have free time to wander the picturesque blue streets of Chefchaouen. You can visit the main square with its spectacular casbah, its gardens and neighboring mosque. You can walk the narrow streets and take photos of the many creative ways the residents have decorated the streets to go along with the bright blue colors on the walls. There are also lots of small shops with handicrafts where you can shop for souvenirs.

• Ras El Maa Waterfall

  Just a few steps from the Chefchaouen medina is the lovely Ras El Maa Waterfall. It runs under a bridge located on the street from the medina. Just below the bridge, you will see the local women who have brought their hand-woven wool blankets to wash under the fresh-flowing water of the falls. You can also buy a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice from a vendor parked near the bridge.

• Spanish Mosque

  If you are feeling energetic, you can take a 700 metre, 15-minute hike up to the Spanish Mosque for more spectacular views of Chefchaoen. The trail is paved, with several sets of stairsteps. It is a slightly steep climb in some spots, so you should be in good shape to make the hike.

  Lunch: Back in the medina, your guide will point out several good places for lunch (on your own).

• Cascades d'Akchour

  After lunch, if you would like, you can visit the spectacular Akchour Waterfalls, about a 45 minute drive from Chefchaouen. You will enter the Talassemtane National Park, where there is a 45 minute hike to the first waterfall. If you are in good shape and have time, you can hike another 90 minutes to the largest and most spectacular waterfall.

  You will arrive back in Fes in the late afternoon. Your driver will take you directly to your accommodation in Fes.
