We have curated a collection of the finest cherry blossom spots in Kumamoto, a charming city near Fukuoka. Join this limited-time seasonal tour to experience Kumamoto at its most beautiful moment! You can join the tour from either Hakata or Tenjin. Please select your preferred pickup location when booking.

After completing pickups at Tenjin Station, we depart for Kumamoto. Our first stop is Kikuchi Park. With approximately 3,000 cherry trees lining the paths, you will be surrounded by blossoms wherever you look. The sheer volume of flowers guarantees a perfect photo backdrop, so you won't have to worry about capturing that perfect shot. As a popular spot for locals, the park comes alive with various street food stalls during the season. Be sure to taste the local treats sold at these stalls under the cherry trees.

After spending about an hour at Kikuchi Park, we head to Kumamoto Castle, the symbol of the city. Boasting over 400 years of history, this majestic castle becomes a premier cherry blossom destination in spring, with around 800 trees in full bloom. Witness the spectacular view of cherry blossoms contrasting with the grand castle walls. Located right next to the castle is Josaien, filled with various restaurants and cultural experiences, allowing you to enjoy a fulfilling 2.5-hour break.

Our final destination is Suizenji Jojuen, a beautifully landscaped traditional Japanese garden. Its quaint and serene atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a stroll, even outside the cherry blossom season. The miniature hills around the pond are designed to resemble Mount Fuji, Japan’s iconic peak. We highly recommend visiting "Kokindenju-no-Ma," located to the right of the garden entrance. While their matcha and dessert sets are delightful, the main reason to visit is the breathtaking view of the garden framed by the teahouse architecture.

After a relaxing time in the garden, we return to Fukuoka. You can choose to drop off at your original pickup point or at Maizuru Park (near Akasaka Station), a famous cherry blossom spot in Fukuoka. Maizuru Park is renowned for sakura festival and evening illuminations. Why not wrap up your day by admiring the cherry blossoms glowing under the beautiful lights?
