Changunarayan Hill to Telkot Hike, near Kathmandu Day Tour is an excellent day hike to escape from city life for a while. This hike is for the people who want to escape from the hustle & bustle of city life & try some easy adventure activities while enjoying nature. This is a different tour from the sightseeing. Its a mixture of history, culture and nature hike outside the Kathmandu Valley. It starts from the oldest Temple of Nepal Changunarayan and old village settlements in its surroundings on the top of the hill. After a beautiful visit we head towards Telkot. We pass through small villages, forests, and some terrace farms. If the weather is clear we will see a panoramic view of the Mountains.

3 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedThis hiking tour will be for 7 hours in total. We start at 10 am from Kathmandu and drive one hour to Changunarayan Hill. Your first visit will be 1-hour sightseeing of Changunarayan Vishnu Temple and its surrounding village. It is one of the ancient temple dating back to the 4th century, carries the history of Nepal in carved stones. In the village, we will see many small handicraft shops making wood carvings and old-style beautiful houses. From the top, view an amazing green terrace and lush green hills. After visiting the temple we will take a 1-hour break in local restaurants and try some local food as lunch and then continue our hike to Telkot.Telkot Nagarkot Road
4 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeOur hike from Changu Narayan to Telkot will be mild. Our walk will be 3 hours through beautiful countryside villages & jungles. We will get a chance to view the scenic range of Himalayas if the weather is clear. There is high a chance of seeing different wild birds i.e Blue Magpie and experience the typical mountain village life. On the way we will rest on a small tea stall and enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Kathmandu valley. It is a refreshing hike above the hills. We will visit a suspension bridge, to get thrill experience. Drive back 1 hours to Kathmandu.
