This 16 Days African Mountain Biking Cycling Safari takes you to Kenya whose land scape was created in such a way that it accommodates various nature activities. Most people believe that the only way to see nature is by using vehicle. And we disagree with them. However the only way to enjoy nature is by cycling. Biking is far from busy roads. You will experience a different face of Africa-local villages and traditional tribesmen, breathtaking scenery and wildlife grazing on the plains. This safari is a challenge that one should consider taking part in when in Kenya. Kenya is a natural destination for mountain bikers.With a fantastic climate, endless tracks where motor vehicles are rarely seen and a vibrant racing and recreational scene, Kenya really is a great place to cycle.

Kisumu – Lwanda K’Otieno – Mbita Point

8 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeWe depart for Lwanda K’Otieno passing through. Our western Kenya trip starts with a road transfer to Kisian market (13 kilometers away). This takes us out of the main Kenya Uganda highway with its heavy vehicular traffic. We mount our bicycles at Kisian and ride to Kit Mikayi (16 kilometers) on tarmacked road. Kit Mikayi is famous as the birthplace of the Luo Nation and is steeped in Luo culture and traditions. After a tour of this site with its monuments of huge boulders and underground caves we proceed to Ndori still biking though tropical savannah and Indian corn (maize farms). From Ndori we drive to Lwanda K’Otieno to connect to our Water bus (ferry) that takes us across Lake Victoria to Mbita Point.
