Travel up and down on our chairlift for a stunning scenic ride taking in the adventures around you as you go. You will dismount at the top and there is a short walk to take some snaps with views of the city, the Pacific Ocean, and the Southern Alps. The perfect background for a selfie.

Admission Ticket IncludedWith 1.8km length, the Christchurch Adventure Park chairlift is the longest in New Zealand. The simple load and unload system takes any hassle out of getting on and off. The view from the chair and the top are some of the best in Christchurch with unobstructed sights of the city, Southern Alps, and the ocean. The Sightseer Pass can be used from opening at 10am until 4pm (an hour before the chairlift closes). The 1.8km ride takes between 9-12 minutes to get from the bottom station to the top of the hill. If you are in the mood for some activity you could also walk up or down our hiking trail for free. Once you are done with the chairlift pop into our cafe/bar for some drinks and food.

Good experience for a long ride up and down the chairlift. Hassle free to get admission tickets at guest services.
Nice view
Beautiful view from the chairlift! Visited in spring, but the strong wind made it less enjoyable. When we reached the top, staff informed us the chairlift was suspended due to strong gusts and would be reviewed in 20 minutes. However, there was nowhere to take shelter, and the wait ended up being about an hour before we could head back down. The wind was still strong on the way down but more manageable. If you’re visiting, be sure to bring enough warm clothing and wear it on the way up!
