The guide was not at all prepared, considerate nor was she particularly as knowledgeable. She had forgotten all the prints she was supposed to carry to show us how the ruins looked before, she spoke more about hair and makeup than the history or architecture and she dragged the group into the individual queue until she was told by the security to take us to the group queue. There was an 84 years old lady in our group and the guide remembered there was a lift that she could've taken after the old lady climbed the entire steep staircase in the Colosseum. When the family asked to take the lift while going down due to her knee problem, the guide asked if the old lady was sure she couldn't make it down by stairs, which was really inconsiderate. The guide just told the family to take another exit and left them to figure it out. The information she gave about the Colosseum was bare minimum and we would've been better off with audio guides or other guides there who had come well prepared with prints and information. This wasn't our first tour in Rome/Italy but it was definitely the least helpful one. Would not recommend this guide at all. Also, we had booked this tour because it started at 8:30am to beat the heat. However, we got notified a couple of days earlier that the tour timing had changed to 10:30am due to logistical reasons. To make it worse, we had to start the tour in a queue until 11:18am under the hot scorching sun and most of us didn't ask any questions because we were out under 37 degrees sun at noon. Was a total waste and I would rather do it on our own next time.
