The legendary Lake Sevan is the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the most visited attractions in Armenia. Located in the Gegharkunik region, at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. On the peninsula, on a high hill, located famous Sevanavank Monastery, built in 874, by Princess Mariam. Hayravank Monastery was built in the 9th century and located on the shore of Sevan, on a hilly slope. Not far from the Monastery is located the White Fortress, which, according to legend, was connected by a secret tunnel with Hayravank. The Monastery complex is a prime example of Armenian cross-domed architecture. From the top of the hills opening a fantastic landscape onto the lake, where you will have a great opportunity to take fabulous photos for memory.
