If you are only in Tanzania for a short amount of time, or are not quite ready to tackle the summit of Africa's largest mountain, then Kilisa Tours & Safaris can arrange for you to do the first day of the hike up Mt Kilimanjaro. After reaching the gates at Marangu, you will hike for approximately 3-4 hours to the first lodges, 2,700 meters from the base of the mountain. Here you will take a break for lunch while also having the opportunity to take in the stunning wildlife that surrounds you before starting your descent. You will be accompanied by a qualified and licensed guide, ready to answer all your questions, while pointing out things of interest along the way.
