Badaling Section of the Great Wall is the most representative and magnificent section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty.Although popular, Badaling is a good introduction to the Great Wall. Authentically reconstructed, Badaling shows the Great Wall as it would have looked originally, and it does not look too new. The entrance to Badaling Great Wall that you will see close to the bus stop is for the cable car that can take you up about 2/3 of the way to the peak.

Juyongguan section of the Great Wall is the nearest section of the Great Wall to Beijing - a little nearer than BaDaLing that it connects to. Built in accordance with the difficult terrain, Juyongguan Pass of Great Wall was a solid barrier protecting the old city of Beijing.There are many old buildings, like towers and temples, can be seen there.Stairs on the western part are quite steep while the other side is gentler, suitable for people who are energetic and those who are weak in sports.
