Drive north across the orange groves up to the Medieval village of Silves that was once one of the biggest and most important cities in Portugal.
Silves is also known as capital of the orange, so you will have to try probably one of the best fresh orange juices you’ve ever tried.
At the castle, you will get to take great photos and learn a lot about the History of Portugal and also, a small museum of the Iberian Lynx. An almost extinct animal, native to the area.
