absolutely loved it, guide was great and everything went according to plan. would definitely recommend.
Great experience and strongly recommend.
Rod was an excellent tour guide and driver. He talked about many interesting points along the way. I truly appreciated how he provided the history of the Aboriginal people of Tasmania. Port Arthur itself is worth a visit to learn about the history of forced convict labor in Australia. I thought 4.5 hours in Port Arthur would be too long. But, I spent close to an hour at the Separate Prison alone. The exhibit about the young boys who were transported to Tasmania is worth a visit. The transportation provided was very comfortable. The last stop for chocolates and ice cream was a nice way to end the day. The only suggestion I would give to other travelers is to bring a sandwich or food and drink on the trip. There are restaurants at the Port Arthur historical site — but menu items are limited and expensive. But all in all, a wonderful day to learn about the history of Australia.
